[2020] Weirdly bad performance

I have been having issues with Div 2 from the start. overall low FPS, heavy stuttering, and one weird bug where I fall through stairs, curbs, or pretty much any elevation change when my FPS is low. From what I have seen, the fog is what really kills it, as the game becomes almost unplayable when any sort of fog rolls in.

This is pretty strange to me since I can run Breakpoint on pretty high settings (mostly ultra other than textures) and get a solid 40 FPS under normal conditions. Div 2 though on min settings barely works.

Specs (laptop): 1060 6gb, i5-8300H, 8GB DDR4.

Anyone have any ideas or know what’s going on?
