This behavior also has lead to several crashes since sometimes the game wanted to revert back to windowed mode during a play after I set it to fullscreen every time I started the game.
I have googled about this and apparently nothing is conclusive. Now I just play in windowed mode like the game wants to, to avoid crashes.
Do you also experience this?
