[2021] Matchmaking bugged after joining friend for WONY

So...I joined a friend of mine in the beginning of the WONY DLC. I am lvl 40 and already played through the dlc. When we arrived at the door in the city hall where you first meed Rhodes, we couldnt enter the door and continue playing. So I left and my friend continued the dlc. I wanted to join after he did all the introduction to the people but I couldnt join him and he cant invite me. Now I cant do matchmaking at all.
I keep getting phrases like "Unable to join a group at the moment" or "Players cant join you"
I think because I joined at the "tutorial part" of the dlc and cant finish it now, I am now locked out of all social interactions. And I cant finish the intro/tutorial from the dlc either... Any solutions?
With a new character it works just fine.

Let us know if it resolves when your friend and yourself have finished the WONY expansion :) If not we can look into this further for you!

Edit: Things I already did and tried
- I uninstalled and re-installed the game
- I checked the files for corruption via Ubsioft Connect
- I dont use Epic Game Launcher or Steam. Only Ubisoft Connect

He is back in DC now but I still cant do any matchmaking or joining on my main character. I can access everything, the social interface, the map, etc. But I cant join other players and all the other players cant join me. Is there maybe a file in the data that interacts with the social functions that I can change or something? Please look into it. Thank you!
