2020 is a year full of change. We went from moving our Fifth TennoCon from a physical to Digital event, and now we’re going one step further and moving Digital Tennocon to August 1st. The reasons we are doing this are very important, so please take a moment to not only adjust your calendars, but review our reasons why we are moving it:

1) It’s a Digital Event - we can give ourselves the time we need.

It’s been a turbulent year! COVID has forced us to adapt to new work from home development realities (and the obstacles that come with that!) and we’ve also had to make changes to our TennoCon plan so we can do it remotely. Because of this, we’ve had to make the tough decision to move TennoCon to later this summer. This will give us the time to make sure we can put on an awesome show - and deliver the magic of TennoCon - to our community worldwide!

2) We have a history wit...

Thank you for addressing the huge power spike that is the Bramma!

However, this doesn't change one important thing in regards to new player experience: Kuva Liches are accessed WAY too early in the game. As soon as you finish TWW, you can access it, which is as early as MR5. I've seen SO MANY low MR players that barely have 30 hours in the game, who probably got carried and bombrushed through the map to get to Sedna Junction, and then only focused on gaining Kuva weapons. They're running in lvl 100 Kuva lich missions with MK1 weapons, Taxion and a Kuva Bramma.

This huge power spike, even after Bramma nerf, will not change.

You need to address this by putting a much higher lock on Kuva Lich access, maybe tied to MR15 or something, because this is quite ridiculous. Note that MR on Kuva weapons does nothing, because t...

Tenno -

If you’ve been plugged into the community discourse since the self damage changes, you’ll have seen a lot of discussions about the Kuva Bramma.

What makes this formerly self-damaging weapon so much more dominant than the others?

It has quickly taken the place at the top of the usage charts - which is where it should be given its acquisition - but the degree of dominance (about 3 times more popular than anything else) is not something we feel is good for the primary weapon Arsenal options.

We are changing it so that:

- It has a smaller reserve ammo (15 to 5), and gains fewer arrows from ammo pickups - This is to encourage players to aim the bow deliberately at crowds of enemies and not fire it wildly everywhere
- Fewer cluster bombs are produced on impact (from 7 to 3) - Reduces the overwhelming AOE potential somewhat but also makes the Bramma less visually busy. Players have said that the many many explosio...

A couple general notes of improvements coming with the next update (based on feedback here, and in general):

  • Upon falling/jumping off a platform in the Weave, you’ll now be teleported back to the main platform instead of failing the Weave.
The non-existent aim-gliding in the Weave was the root of many Weave failures, which is why we have added the teleport. It’s still the Glassmakers game though, so use your time wisely!
  • The amount of Cephalite Resonance to enter the Weave has been cut in half. The requirement is now 5 instead of 10.
  • Your Cephalite Resonance count, as well as the amount required for the Weave, is now displayed upon hover on the Glassmaker crime scene Episode selector.

Does this include the toxicity in the partner program?

Yup  - lots of concerns surrounding Partner conduct, and that is something we are intending to address with the larger program changes that we mentioned earlier this year.

I understand the point of the statement within the Tweet and all that, but shouldn't we keep these sorts of things off the Warframe Forums?

Twitter can be used for that...

Context is important for the individuals on the team being absent from livestreams that we promote within our forums.

There will be no Homestreams this week from the community team, and we will be spending our normal broadcast times solidifying our plans for improvements towards the problems within our game mentioned recently by our community (namely Region chat and the role it plays).

We are world makers - and we should do more to make both our virtual world or real world welcoming. While our job is to build an escape, we must also focus on paying attention to the world as justice is demanded for black lives. And we must listen and learn how to do better.

This Friday at 2 p.m ET - join Devs and I to go over how things have changed at DE since our last Home Devstream!  We are ending our 10th week of remote work, and will be doing a full 'The Deadlock Protocol' preview stream - a deep dive into the big and small shipping with this classic Warframe update! This will be our last Home Devstream until TennoCon - similar to last year, we ended May with a Devstream and went heads down on TennoCon. Because of the changing circumstances with COVID 19, this may change.

See you at 2 pm ET Friday May 22nd!

Tenno!

At 4 p.m ET today we will be performing brief maintenance on our servers on all platforms. This won't impact your normal gameplay in any notable way - you may experience minor disruptions in any Alert refreshes but nothing substantial.

We expect the maintenance to last 20 minutes and will update when it is complete.

Cheers!

What is Cephalite Resonance and is it Dropping?

Cephalite Resonance is a commonly found resource that you'll come across frequently simply by playing Warframe - Look out for Glassed enemies! At the time of this post (3:30 p.m Eastern Time on May 12), we are looking at an issue that we did not see in any of our scenarios that may prevent dropping, but rest assured it will be promptly fixed!

 Hi Tenno!

Launching later this month is a new in-game Chat Channel!

The goal of this channel is to provide new and experience players a place to seek and provide help in a dedicated and organized way. This channel will eventually be the first channel new players enter (instead of region, which will be available as an opt-in!).

The Players Helping Players sub-forum has remained one of our most beneficial to Tenno, and translating it to an in-game Chat channel was a very logical next step.

Here's a sneak peek:

See you in there later, Tenno.
