If you can recall at all what was the number of CE's signed in the end post and pre-launch? I have 2 of them looking to acquire my 3rd. One of them has less signatures (I've owned this for about 11 years) and the other just recently acquired (with more signatures and I believe it could be a pre-launch?). Not sure.
I'm not sure I could make a good guess as to the number, sorry.
I just crafted it after playing the game for over 1000 hours over the past 3 years.
I don't have that much time on my hand so I was really nervous about spending all of my resources on one legendary. I knew I wanted to do it, but it was hard to decide which one. I didn't want to regret it.
So when I finally did, it was kind of a leap of faith.
But then I looked at it on my character I was blown away. What great work you did. The details are breathtaking. It's honestly "too good" in a way. It killed my interest for almost all other skins, and now every character that can hold a greatsword needs all their armor fitted to Exordium to match the style :D.
Again, thank you for this. I really appreciate your hard work. It's made for a really memorable moment. I even called my wife down from upstairs to witness its creation. We awed at it for 20 minutes straight :).

Hello there! As someone who plays a male Sylvari and loves long, flowing hair, I adore the hair included with the hood! Thank you so much for your hard work!! I pretty much immediately caved and went to get it.
(Also, not sure if this was you or a different person on the team, but the hair having two dye channels is fantastic - especially useful for my Sylvari, for the base color to be closer to his skin color and the accent to be another color. The gradient on the wig is really nice!)
I'd love to see this wig converted into a proper hair for all genders at some point, though that may be a pipe dream. One day my Sylvari will have lovely, flowing locks... but 'til then, thank you again for the hood :)
The two dye channels was indeed me. It was a choice partially driven by wanting to allow for that very thing for sylvari!
the design is A+, as a dude who had long hair in my teens I love it. wish I could still grow my hair like that.
cool to hear from the designers. the cosmetics designs are easily some of if not the best in the industry. hard to switch to other games and miss GW2s skins/cosmetics.

There aren't gendered versions. They all have long hair. Long hair is not inherently feminine.

My personal nitpick wasn't with the human part of human female, but the female part. I do kinda miss when there were more masculine versions of cosmetics for male characters. Although I do understand that means more hours in autodesk for you.

I feel like they've been designing a lot of stuff with only human female characters in mind lately.
Human female was the least of my concerns with this set. I made a special effort to give asura, charr, and sylvari unique versions with their own hair. I started with charr first.

Trim my claws. I don't know how charr do anything with those knives for fingers. They claws too big for they gotdamn paws.

Would you tell us what was your role in the dev team?
I'm a 3d artist! I work on a variety of things including: weapons (and legendary weapons), backs (and legendary backs), gliders, chairs, minis, props (objects that you see used to decorate the maps), and rarely, a couple armor pieces. My work on these consists of modeling, texturing, animating, rigging (setting up the skeleton for them to animate with), setting up the physics for parts that wiggle, and some minor fx. I've made a million different models over the 15 years I've been here - way too many things to list! But some of my favorite things I've worked on have been legendaries and my Zharra cape/hood (named after my main character!)

It warms my heart so much that I played even a small part in all of this. To have something you worked on mean so much to another person...being able to do that for someone is the best thing in the world. Grats on the awesome present! Merry Christmas!
Some history on this: these boxes with the signatures from everyone were signed before launch. We had a big room with rows of tables covered in tons of these collector's editions and everyone stopped work for a bit to go walk up and down the rows signing them all. Most of them were for devs to keep but a few were given away at events and stuff. Some dev boxes have likely made their way into the wild as well, so this may have even been previously owned by a dev! Boxes you see with way fewer signatures were signed post-launch and were set out on a table for people walking by to sign them.
