Tomorrow we’re planning to release patch 0.1.1 for Path of Exile 2, pending any last minute hurdles. This patch contains new endgame tower maps, checkpoints for map areas, respawn attempts for the Arbiter of Ash, as well as many monster changes, unique changes, improvements and bug fixes.

Please note that these are still subject to change prior to the patch’s deployment.

Data Breach Notification



Last week we became aware that a PoE account with admin access to the website owned by one of our developers had been compromised. This gave them access to the tools that our customer support agents use.

We immediately locked the account, and forced password resets on all other admin accounts. We then began an investigation into what had occurred.

The PoE account in question was linked to an old steam account that was created by a developer for testing a long time ago, and didn't have any purchases on it. The compromise occurred when the attacker was able to supply enough information to steam support to steal the account.

General Improvements and Changes

  • Added the capacity to fast-travel between Checkpoints within an area. You can now select checkpoints which will bring up your Map Overlay allowing you to select other Checkpoints you have discovered in the area to travel to them immediately. Many more checkpoints have been added to areas generally at all the entrances and exits to areas, meaning if you find those first, you are able to instantly travel to them if you choose to go back and explore an area.
  • Passive Point Respeccing has been made cheaper especially at higher levels, it had a relatively aggressive curve getting more expensive with character level, we have flattened that curve so it doesn't exponentially grow as much. For Example, this should generally result in an approximately 40-50% less Gold Cost for respeccing between the start and middle of Endgame progression.

Path of Exile 2 has been live for just over a week! We’ve addressed some feedback already and are working on more fixes for key pain points in an upcoming patch. The full patch notes are coming soon, but check out some of the more significant changes below.

Gameplay Features

General Improvements and Changes

  • Passive Block chance now applies to blockable hits from all directions, as opposed to just hits from in front.
  • Player size is now set to Zero units while dodge rolling instead of One unit.
  • Some smaller monsters can now be pushed while dodge rolling. This includes monsters such as the Adorned Beetles in Keth.
  • Inscribed Ultimatums and Djinn Baryas now display whether you will obtain Ascendancy Skill Points upon completing the Trial of Chaos or Trial of the Sekhemas respectively.
  • Removed World Map Pins for encounters that were not from specific locations in Areas. ie. From Monster drops.
  • Improved attack in place behaviour.
  • Rain of Arrows and Firestorm now have a hit-rate limit to prevent cases of them absolutely obliterating very large bosses. This will have little to no impact outside of boss fights with very large hitboxes....

Support Email Response Delays



We've had a massive amount of players logging into Path of Exile 2 since launch, which has been amazing to see! Unfortunately, such a huge influx of players also generates an enormous amount of support requests.

Despite their best efforts, we're currently looking at turn around times that are much longer than expected on new emails, where we'd usually be aiming for responses within the same day, if not the same hour.

We are currently hiring new people for support to be able to handle the increased load so that we can decrease the backlog as soon as possible.

If you have submitted a ticket with the Support team, please do not send follow up messages to check on the status of your request, as this can create further delays. Please be assured that if you're waiting for a response from our Support team, they'll get back to you as soon as huma... Read more

Hi everyone. The launch weekend has been a blast. We've really enjoyed seeing all of you get your hands on the game and finally try out the project we have been working on for so long.

But now that the launch weekend is over it's time for us to look at the feedback and make some changes. There are lots more things coming. The list in this post are some of the things we felt needed to be more urgently addressed.

Some of these changes have already been deployed without a realm restart, others will be deployed in an upcoming patch.
