Who can I possibly persuade into getting these into the next Spiderverse
I can understand that, especially if people didn't actually explain their choices.
On the flip side however, Warframe names are intended to be meaningful, and NOT having ANY context creates its own bias towards names with meanings people will intrinsically recognize. Otherwise names like Voruna or Ulfra are just random letters, while people assume only Lycath has any meaning 'cuz it's one they know.
Right - I feel that if we showed the meaning behind every name, we'd miss out on a lot of original creativity. If we only chose names rooted in mythology or history, it leaves no room for original thought.
'Xaku' has no etymological origins, but I'm glad it's a name we used. I'm glad we have names that do borrow language culturally, but IMO it's also valid to create something new without constraints.

- Raksha: Means "Protector", likely a nod to the Rakshasi of Hindu mythology, malevolent bestial demigods akin to demons (D&D typically has them be tiger-like but the mythology is non-specific about what 'beast' they are); also the name of Mowgli's wolf mother in The Jungle Book
- Dynara: Possibly a spelling of Deianira, Greek for "man-destroyer"; the mother of Lycaon, a king who was turned into a wolf by Zeus after feeding his own son to the god
- Lycath: Most likely derived from "lycan", as in wolf, but isn't actually a word

When we originally pitched the names to the Design Council, adding context/explaining the historical or imagined context to the name was optional. A bonus if you did, but not something we needed.
It would have been a bias for the Community wide voting to include some of the names with context and others without when it wasn't a necessary step for tossing your name in for consideration
Has there been any updates as to whether we'll get account merging when crosssave happens?
Right now I find it hard to buy anything because I don't know if I have to abandon one of my account (console or PC) when cross save happens, or if the things I buy can be combined.
I just end up buying nothing because I don't want to risk it.

This is quite the wait for something that seems pretty simple.
They have said a few times now when people ask about it that it isn't a simple change on their side. Things that seem simple on paper can be significantly more challenging to implement depending on a lot of factors. It is what it is though.
Much more going on behind the scenes for this change, if it was straightforward we would have loved to have this out earlier

We’re here with a status update on our upcoming deployment plans: we’re going dark on Hotfixes/Updates for the remainder of October. Spooky, right? The team is switching gears to prepare for Echoes of Veilbreaker. This Update will be going through the Cert process for consoles, which requires us to submit content and changes (also called ‘integrations’) to the Certification Process by a specific deadline. This Cert deadline is crucial to meet in order to launch updates, and as a result, our Hotfix activity must be paused.
There are a few key reasons why we cannot Hotfix the first is that we are required to pull over every integration needed for Echoes of Veilbreaker to the Test build, which is what gets deployed to the Public server. Once that occurs, we cannot Hotfix without reversing that process, lest we release unfinished content as well. The goal is to have the refund be eligible for those who completed the Prison Break mission this week, we just have to cross Ts and dot Is before we're able to lock that in for you guys, but that is our plan!

I am really confused. I don't have this mission this week. I have the Junk Run mission, where you take out the Thumper with the kuva archgun to get the "lo-co-mo-tor" core. Am I perpetually a week behind the rotation because I skipped a week, maybe? it'd definitely explain why my google searches for hints have been so confusing.
Kahl missions reset at the same time for everyone (on completion), but if you miss a week they won't advance to next weeks mission so you play them in sequence.
I am also a week behind as I missed playing the first week so don't worry! We are in the same boat.
Any updates on cumulative challenges for veilbreaker missions?

This week’s ‘Man the Guns’ Break Narmer challenge (Take out 10 enemies with the drop ship) is currently unable to be completed due to a bug that causes the enemy ships to take no damage.
We are unable to hotfix at this time as we gear up for our next update - Echoes of Veilbreaker. As such, the challenge will remain active until the next refresh occurs (Sunday, Oct 23rd @ 8 PM ET).
