Hey y'all!

We're trying out having a megathread for each of the Titan Talks to encourage more discussion about them and to bring more visibility, as they answer some pretty good questions on there.

Let us know what you think of the posts and how it can be improved!

Honestly - I understand how you feel but the reality is that it's just not worth for them to spend the time on it.

Smite 2 is what they are betting their entire company on, and while it sucks I get where they are coming from.

And honestly, I'd recommend giving S2 another shot - once you get past the fact your mains aren't there yet it's really much better than S1 in a lot of perspectives - the combat is smoother, the item system got a LOT of updates in the last few patches, and the community is much more alive than in S1.

We'll ban you anyways for threatening to be hostile over what is essentially a harmless question, dw.

Yeah, but I don't really buy that though.

The skins are categorized by numbers and alphabets in the game files, with Skin00 being the default skin, Skin01 being their first skin, and so on. Then you have the letters, which symbolize the recolor/texturing of a skin, so if you have Skin01A and Skin01B, those are recolors of the same skin.

I have a hard time believeing that their system either already can't, or cannot be modified to be able to refer to a different model instead of skin texturing when utilizing the Prism system.

You're technically right - but you're describing something that's kinda like the opposite of scope creep.

I can 1000% buy that the system was designed with only texture swapping in mind as that's typically how game dev would go - the idea to expand it to cover other systems currently in the game probably never got thrown out there during the planning phase resulting in a system that is limited to textures only.

Now, the system can ofc be expanded to model swapping 1000%, but the issue now is that you have to refactor a system that works well and does its job JUST to do a feature that doesn't actually bring you any kind of direct benefit.

Essentially it's tech debt - to be fixed later.

Whatever that excuse was, it's not a good one, lol.

There's literally 0 reason to not do it this way.

It was basically - "The systems aren't built to handle this" and "there's significant differences between prisms and other examples"

However, when the question was raised, I think they were answering in the context of Ascension Pass skins, which I can kinda see making more sense (even tho I still agree they should be together lmao)

Also I don't even think it's an excuse tbh, I just really don't see that as a priority right now, although it would be nice to get the confirmation it will be done at some point in the far future.

I think the current version of Blink is the one they are happy with - it's something in between S1 Blink and S2 Blink with a lower CD (210 sec)

Next wandering market is in a week's time, 7th of April.

Cerberus is on the same date, 7th of April.

Literally server issues happening, as it's PINNED on the main screen. Chill out

This is such a weird take - you're just listing stuff you like and saying that's what apparently EVERYONE wants and is stopping them from coming over.

Also, they have talked about Classic skins extensively at this point. They need a balance.

Pinging /u/HiRezRadar as that's something they will most likely be interested in

Also, I think Nexus gg sells Diamonds as codes for PC versions, which also allows you to support a creator if youve got one you watch that is partnered with HiRez!

This is a warning - further attempts at whatever this is will be met with a ban.
