Hi folks, happy Saturday - can confirm that this is a legitimate email from us. Make sure to mark the Jagex email domain "m.runescape.com" as a safe sender so emails don't get filtered as spam (we're not sending that many emails, I promise!)

Hiya - we've been randomly selecting eligible users for Alpha tests, so if you've not been chosen yet, it's not that we've rejected or omitted you from selection pools. Keep an eye out for emails from the RuneScape domain and we'll contact you when the moment is right!
Just got an key yesterday. I’m really happy and excited to try the early alpha on 11/4. The best thing about it is that there are no pictures video or spoilers of the game and I’m going in fully blind.
Correct! Everyone who's seen the project is under an NDA - one of the benefits is that people's first impressions are when they get hands on, and we're getting incredible feedback and genuine reactions that are so helpful to us. Remember, keep your lips sealed on this, no sharing!
Is Alpha closed? I signed up a couple weeks ago and havent heard anything :( Long time RS player here and am SUPER eager to check this out!
The Alphas are closed Alphas, but we're gradually introducing more and more Alpha testers with each phase, and it's selected at random, so keep your eyes on your email inbox for an email from the Survival team with the m.runescape.com domain!
Does anyone know if there's a way to see the legitmacy of the email I received for the Alpha invite? Or what address it's coming from? I just don't want to be phished lol.
Any and all emails we send will come from the "m.runescape.com" domain, so look out for that address. Anything we send will include info about you, the inteded recipient, including your username and first name, too.

Nicely done! We've had an initial batch of Alpha testers that we've contacted, and we'll be reaching out to more in the near future. We're going to keep growing the tester base in phases so if you don't hear from us right away, don't lose hope! Keep checking your emails every week for anything from the RuneScape domain. Thank you! We've sent out an initial batch of emails - check your spam folders, but also, we're still expanding out our Alpha participant groups! As we get more people involved, we'll keep sending out invites. If you've not heard from us yet, that's ok! We're still looking to invite more testers so keep your eyes peeled for an email in your inbox from us.

That's ok! We're very aware that this news may be met with some trepidation but that's the reason we're here today - to ask for help from folks to make this the best it can be. That way, the people who chose to "wait and see", will like what they see!
i've know of the project for a time now via things like job adverts for a "new survival game" and the such, and as a huge survival game enjoyer and runescape addict i'm really interested to see what Jagex can bring to the table, i think the only thing that actually beats my runescape playtime is my survival genre playtime in total.
here's hoping i get in, i'd like to think i know what makes a decent survival game given i've played well over 20k hours of them, i'd love to have the opportunity to help shape one with my feedback.

gpu list needs update too, i have a rtx 2060 super. 8gb vs 6gb non super
If it's closer in specifications to a, say, 2070, then feel free to drop that in instead. It's a way for us to get a rough aggregate/estimate of people's hardware and what we're testing for, here!

We'll be reaching out to an initial batch by this time next week, but if you haven't received an email at that stage, don't be discouraged! We're going to be scaling our tests up and getting more and more feedback as we go, so we'll be in touch soon enough, I'm sure!
If I submitted a response in the first 5 minutes of it being out, just leaving off the last digit, should I fill it out again with the full ID, or notify someone if contacted by email? I don't want to be disqualified by submitting multiple entries.
You won't be disqualified, don't worry - and also, don't worry about being early to signing up! We aren't selecting testers by who completed the form fastest. I really appreciate you being so eager to participate. It means a lot.
