Y'all should start tagging Matt Pennebaker for these kinds of things. He heads up systems now and I handed off all my rewards-y stuff to him. I focus solely on Living World content now, especially golden path storytelling.

Can you explain that in more detail? What has the trading post to do with the dye channels on weapons? I understand the system is different to armor or mounts but what does the trading post have to do with it? I mean the trading post is for trading or did you mean you had only resources for dye able weapons or the trading post to implement?
The size of the data stored on items is very relevant to the trading post.
That's... interesting, actually. I think that's the first time that rule has been talked about. I know it might be outside of your sphere, but any idea why not?
Artistic integrity?
I agree with /u/axisaver. I would love for there to be even a couple of alternative color choices for some of the weapons. The ascended weapons are a good example of a nice variance in the colors that has already been implemented. If I could get a Nevermore with a white or silver staff instead of a brown one, I'd go for it in a heartbeat. But as its currently designed, I have no interest. Make it an extra MF step even. Complete Nevermore and unlock base skin, and then put Nevermore in with a handful of other ingredients in to unlock the "Frosted Nevermore" or some such thing allowing there to be color choices, via separate skin entries, without it needing to be "dyeable" per se.
I hope this makes sense.
All those ascended weapons in different colors also have geometry differences. We have never done simple color shifts. The team that works on weapons has a rule against it.
So what you are saying is there is a chance...
Nope!
