In 2024, we reimagined Overwatch Esports with the launch of our new premier circuit: Overwatch Champions Series. OWCS was built on the principles of open competition and year-round programming, with a regional focus for fans and aspiring competitors alike. After a year full of nail-biting matches and incredible live events, we’re very happy to announce that OWCS is coming back next year in a big way. 

In 2025, we’re doubling down on what has made OWCS so captivating by focusing on three big areas: creating a more rewarding and open competition; streamlining our programs; and increasing accessibility for players and fans. You won’t have to wait long–the 2025 OWCS season starts in January. What does all of this mean? Let’s break it down.

The inaugural year of Overwatch Champions Series competition is ending with a bang! 

The 2024 OWCS World Finals will kick off Friday, November 22nd as DreamHack Stockholm makes its debut at Stockholmsmässan. Sweden has been home to so many iconic esports moments throughout history, and we’re excited to add the first OWCS World Finals to the list!

As with the OWCS Major at DreamHack Dallas, the eight strongest teams from Asia, NA, and EMEA stand ready to battle for glory and their share of a crowdfunded prize pool. We’ll bring you up to speed on everything you need to know to enjoy the Finals in full - including when, where, and who to watch, what you can earn by tuning in, limited time in-game bundles, and more. We’ll also have some details on an exclusive, Season 14-themed developer update happening on November 22nd… You won’t want to miss it!
