I know you're a great analyst of what's upcoming, so I appreciate why the unknown causes some trepidation, but I know the LoR dev team will keep communicating with you all and that will become clearer in time.
Remember cross-shard and expeditions weren't really used by too many players, which was why it's better to put the energy from upkeeping those features into other things.
The Path of Champions still has some content coming out - also some lab modes are back to enjoy! I hope the game keeps evolving and continues to delight you (& you all).

It does, but there's a lot of things the live game teams want to do but don't have the people for!

New games move best with small teams as they need to be nimble as they work through finding the fun and what players are looking for.

The focus of the product is PvP and the core audience, yes. And Rioters who are excited about that stayed on LOR and Rioters who wanted a change (maybe they've been on the game a long time, maybe they want to practice new skills, or any other myriad personal career path reasons) were fully supported in that, regardless of what part of the game they most recently worked on.

LOR is not going away and the reassurance is that this is all part of the plan and what was said in the article is the commitment - " Riot is also committed to continuing to support our game and our community. This pivot will allow us to serve the core LoR players and hyper-focus on our core audience, while also turbocharging other great games from Riot"

Am I verified to be Riot or am I verified to be a person?

It's been a busy/intense/transitional couple of months for everyone on LOR, and with all the movement and big releases before and after this one (Worldwalker/Path 2.0 & next set/Star Guardian), we needed to find a few ways to simplify and manage it all. No only the vault. Most people collect event rewards one at a time. If you're going for the big meme all-at-once shot, then you're asking for the long sequence. ;)

That's the suggestion of my first post.Honestly I don't know why you only see Riot. When I try it (as well as others here in the office) we see all 4 options after using the "LOGOUT" button on the settings menu within LOR. Are you using that button?

Yes, absolutely, since you had an existing account but started LOR on a different account they can't be "merged" into one. To keep your progress you should log out of the riot account on that device, and then use apple for LOR and your other account for LOL/TFT/WR, etc.

You can create a second new account for LOR to get all the benefits/protections of a riot account for that progress after you successfully sign back in with Apple ID.

Hello, it sounds like the Riot account is separate from the one with the Apple ID.

I'm not sure why the apple option doesn't show when you log out. Maybe the device is being remembered for 30 days.
If you go to https://account.riotgames.com/ and log-in with the new riot account, you could try logging out everywhere to see if that resets it.
I'd also suggest re-contacting player support and trying to confirm if they can identify the apple ID account still exists separately.

Swapping your regions won't affect this. You should have a sequence of quests that will lead to unlocking ranked, so if you see a quest to unlock another game mode continue on with that.

To clarify: if you pushed "Play the new stuff", you can restart the client and get back to the main menu. The bug is it's not enabling that automatically and we are rapidly working on that fix.

If you pushed "replay", you will need to go through the new adventure

Restart and this issue should now be fixed.
