Right now we're aiming for the same, full TFT experience you're getting on PC. That said, as we start designing more for multiple platforms, we'll want to consider all of them when making design decisions.

We're aiming for early 2020, but could be later.

Honestly this is a great move. It’s a game meant for mobile. I might actually play it now

We definitely felt like it was a perfect fit for mobile when we started working on it for PC. Just glad we're gonna be able to get it onto more platforms our players want to play on.

When did we have a confirmation that TFT mobile was not on the works? I remember a certain person with a good track record saying otherwise.

We downplayed it pretty hard initially, because (1) we weren't sure how TFT would be received by players and (2) we didn't know exactly how much work it would be to do it on mobile.

Will be able to log in on both? Can I play tft whilst queuing for example?

No, at least not right now. You can only be logged in on one device.

Is the date of release known?

We're working to get it out as soon as possible, aiming for early 2020.

Happy to see there's some progress 5 months later. Latest PBE update introduced transparency to all tooltips.

I'd still like to have an option to disable them or require a 0.5s mouse hover to appear, but it's a nice step in the right direction.

It may not be the best example, but here's Rekkles having those tooltips appear in a competitive match. We can all safely assume he's not reading them, so they're getting in the way and not being useful there.

/u/SapMagic, it it was you who made this happen, thanks a lot for listening.

Wasn't me but I'll definitely make sure to share the sentiment and the feedback with the fine folks who are working on this.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Would disagree that it's solely based on RNG. We think randomness is maybe about 30% of the game and we view managing that and adapting to it as a skill, similar to drafting in Magic.

There are lots of other skills to learn too, like positioning, what team comps have good synergy, the item system, how you draft against the other players, etc.

We definitely think TFT is more social, more accessible, and less deterministic than SR, but we think it's a great candidate for ranked all the same.

Is there a bug report thread? Cause I wanted to know if the combining with a unit from the community draft pool and not actually combining for a few rounds is know.

It's known!

Yeah sorry for coming off as a dick. It's just that the one game I was going to win was crashed, so I came to your comment to vent.

But here's a legitimate question: Did no playtesters test the surrender option? When I thought about it, I thought no one would've because it'd go against the idea of testing the game itself, so no one ever surrendered. So the gamebreaking bug went unnoticed.

And once that bug was fixed, I played for several more hours straightx so ultimately a success.

We did. There were numerous things leading to crashes, the surrender one was the smallest of them. There were others as well. We discover new things when we test at scale even though we ran a large internal test.

Not sure if it has been reported too, but if you kill a unit while the round is over and you're taking damage to your poro (happened to me with brand ult bouncing) the game calculates damage again and you take it twice.

That particular brand had morello, not sure if the item triggered or was something else.

Yep, it's known, thank you!

If this is really the reason the game keeps crashing for everyone, than it's really not worth playing right now unfortunately. I've finished ONE game, the other 4 or 5 have been disconnects. If simply surrendering crashes the entire game for everyone, then why even bother playing if every game is gonna end that way? Honestly, probably should disable TFT or PBE entirely until it's fixed. You physically cannot finish a game right now.

We have fixed the crashes now.

If you use the surrender button in the menu you crash the entire lobby.

Thanks for the report, we're checking it out!
