You may have to choose it this way if it uses Nvidia Optimus for graphical switching

  1. try reverifying the game data in Steam

  2. run steam as an administrator

  3. disable your anti-virus as there seems to be some kind of file conflict going on in the logs

Can you post your console logs and launcher logs

But functionally you have to force the game to use the Nvidia card via the Nvidia Control Panel.

Your errors look like your anti-virus is killing the game

Please ensure you have whitelisting for the Darktide game in your anti-virus. As a test you can totally disable your anti-virus as well.

As an aside your username is simultaneously amusing and endlessly annoying when reading log files… Johnny Drop Tables would be proud.

This appears to be an anti-virus problem

Please whitelist the darktide application or disable your anti-virus entirely

Please upload your console and darktide logs. users can have similar symptoms but have different root causes so these logs are important to understand your particular issue

Your issue looks like your anti-virus is blocking EAC

Please add whitelisting for the Darktide directories in your anti-virus, or disable your anti-virus entirely

  1. Delete the appdata\roaming\fatshark directory (this is one directory down from the darktide directory)
  2. Run steam as an administrator

It feels like steam cant write to the directory which is why its not generating the launcher log. I’m hoping that by wiping the fatshark subfolder, steam will be able to recreate the file structure

What anti-virus product are you using? This looks like you’ll need to add whitelisting for the game as EAC seems to be crashing due to your anti-virus. Try disabling your anti-virus entirely if whitelisting isnt’ working

Try to add whitelisting to your anti-virus/firewall since obviously disabling it isn’t a long term solution. But at least you have a known good and can work towards enabling components in your firewall/anti-virus to get working.

Ok this is really a shot in the dark but can you

  • go to your steam library
  • Right click ->Properties on darktide
  • Click “Controller” along the left panel
  • Select the pulldown
  • Select “Disable Steam Input”

Can you ensure that your anti-virus has the game whitelisted. Or you can try disabling your anti-virus entirely.
