Running Strongholds is a great way to get rare loot. XP is a side bonus
There is no cap, it’s just not a very efficient way to gain XP. Missions and Contracts with friends is the best way (plus you get a better Alliance boost for your weekly Coin grant!)

@joemontanarules That’s not a bug. All drops are for individual players, so you might get loot, or health, or ammo and your squad mate might not.

@JeremyMartyniak @kpopfan212 The Windwall must be anchored to something. It protects ground based allies but you can also attach it to spires and towers to give hovering heroes some cover as well. #Tactics
