After closely observing the current behavior in the live game, we have enough information to dial this in more precisely, and plan to reduce the weapon swap delay to about one second shortly after Season 21's launch later this month.

Due to the networking differences across players and environments, we couldn't guarantee the shortest possible delay would address the exploit.

We would like to give some extra context on the weapon swap delay change. The shotgun exploit wasn't the only issue we were seeing and to safely fix the underlying problem we needed to introduce a global firing delay when swapping weapons via the inventory screen.

Seeing some confusion around the super PVE damage resistance buff that applies to Well of Radiance and Ward of Dawn, so wanted to offer a quick clarification. This change only affects damage resistance during those two Supers' cast animations.

@destiny_thememe Yes, the change also applies to self-damage, so fewer misadventures from a knife throw are expected.

We're excited for Guardian Games to kick off next week but had one small correction: the original text hinted that depositing Medallions would level up crafted weapons. This is incorrect but there will be a weapon level progression buff active during the event.

11. Hunter armor Thunderhead Grips can now correctly have its appearance unlocked with synthweave.

3. Reduced Super gains from Ashes to Assets when getting a grapple melee kill after grappling to a grapple point (and thus not expending any grenade energy) by 50%. Previously, this varied from 1% to 5% depending on the target tier, with this change, that's now: 0.5% to 2.5%. 🧵

Cont'd: When Firepower and Heavy Handed are equipped, players will only spawn one Orb of Power, not two, when killing an enemy with a grapple melee.
