@JTVito @Italian_Punk96 I uh...I'm not a Community Manager. I think you have my role and Ced's confused.
Appreciate your support though
@captivesnowy You're twisting the narrative. I didn't state that I don't feel bad for players regardless of the fact it's a free event we do for all of you.
My response was in regards to specifically calling out people on my team for sleeping when there's nothing some of them can do but wait
@captivesnowy My team work hard and they're still working after midnight in the hope of getting this to players. This ain't it bro
Xbox gang:
At this point, it's very unlikely we will have the build tonight. We'll get back to it first thing in the morning, and, I personally don't expect there will be issues in setting it live then.
Thank you for your patience, we want to get the event into your hands too.
Xbox Gang:
✴️We don't have a time yet, we'll let you know once we do.
✴️We'll likely throw 3x taming into the mix for you so you can catch up on event tames.
✴️We can't extend the event due to the major version update for TLC that will bump right against it
Hang in there🖤
@Stea1thyPick1e Prim + has a very low amount of interest and players so, unfortunately, it takes a backseat in our development pipeline in favour of other much more popular modes.
@Adoroable @Obsidian Grats Moobs! 😎
@Marieti1984
@M0nztr For some, yes. Other factors contribute to high turnover in the Industry (like crunch culture) but, for forward-facing devs, this does wear some people down.
@hawksfan12th If reposting it makes a couple of rage babies think about the toxicity they consume and regurgitate, it's worth it.
It's okay not to like a game. If you don't, consider just...moving on
Being critical...sharing why you don't enjoy something is fine. Lingering to harass, calling out the dev, personal attacks, or just talking sh*t is not.
but the culture is so toxic that being candid in public is painting a target on your back
game devs want to talk about what we do, we love to share the challenges we face, the shortcuts we take, the way our pipelines work...but it's rarely worth it
Despite the fact a minority of gamers conduct themselves in this way, it's relatively prevalent in Game Dev.
This is one of the reasons (especially forward-facing) Game Dev's burn out and switch careers.
The gaming community wants Devs to be more candid...
@MargroumT @ComplexMinded Congrats, I've seen a lot over the years and that was up there with the worst. Step outside every now and then.
