I thought websites try to reduce clicks? I'll pass Black Friday on Amazon this year, it's just so much more effort for such poor deals. I've seen other great deals from other shops though. They present them in one nice complete list just one link from their homepage.
The worst part about those categories is that they are not consistent. "Computer & Software" contains FC Bayern Soccer merchandise, wallets, bags and even a sofa. But "Computer & Software" is not even a category of products - it is a category of categories.
The @amazon #BlackFriday page has the worst UX I've ever seen from Amazon. Instead of having an "infinite" scroll to find deals you might not be looking for they opted for categories only.
