Hey, so, in the past, I used to play a lot of Deadzone on Roblox. Somehow, I managed to get in Nelson's teamspeak and for whatever reason, he allowed me to stay next to his side and watch as he built his very first Unity prototypes, etc etc.

Nelson and some of his staff/developers/friends were just talking and taking a look at the prototype buildings. I wanted to make a video on these new buildings as the hype on the roblox Deadzone community was real. I re-discovered this video and thought I'd post it here, as you may be interested in the buildings, since they do resemble what you'd see in Unturned, or maybe Nelson's relatively high pitch voice lol. I believe he was roughly 14-16 at the time of this recording in 2013.

Here's the link to the vid: https://youtu.be/6EFIE4GjRm8
I don't use reddit much so apologies if this is the wrong way to post this. And, yes, I know this video is very cringy, I was 11 at the time, don't expect much.

As time went on, I sadly lost contact with Nelson as the teamspeak they frequented in closed down and Discord and the such weren't a thing at the time. I'm still very sad about that lol. Either way, this was one of the most interesting times of my childhood, because Nelson was a really nice guy and I absolutely loved Deadzone.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the old roblox era, and I'll try to answer them best to my knowledge :)

Hey Teoras, what a blast to the past!

For what it's worth I would like to apologize for our toxic behavior as /u/IAmSixSyllables pointed out. It was rude of me to talk over you, and I should have not have let Phil treat you that way - whether it meant asking him to stop or breaking association with him.

At the beginning of the video I think I was complaining about the larger server capacities Roblox was beta testing. There was a higher-tier of subscription that allowed you to enable them for your game which was a big purchase for me at the time, but they were dealing with stability issues. It's weird looking back on this from the other perspective now that Unturned players want bigger server capacities, and I have to work on improving stability for that.

Regarding the map: I think these were some buildings Phil was proposing for Deadzone 2. In the summer I was working on the gameplay mechanics without a map yet. Towards the end of the summer I started working on Unturned in Unity, and the group drifted apart.
