i understand that you need to right click on the game, go into properties, click betas, and then select the beta that you want to opt into. but it is asking me for a beta access key. do i need this beta access key? if so, what is it? and can i use it to play discontinued addons from the steam workshop?

let me know if i understand this correctly. the beta access key below the drop down box isn't for the available betas in said drop down box. it is for unlocking NEW betas to add to the drop down box. is that correct?
