| 36s | On August 29th... |
| 37s | Premier will officially launch! |
| 40s | The theme with the first official Stage of Premier, in Episode 7 Act 2 |
| 44s | is that now, we’re playing “for real.” |
| 46s | We'll introduce the official Divisions for Premier, |
| 49s | so instead of numbers from 1 through 20 like we used in the test phases... |
| 53s | you’ll now see Open |
| 54s | Intermediate |
| 55s | Advanced |
| 57s | Elite |
| 57s | and Contender at the top. |
| 60s | Weekly matches will now cover all 7 maps in the competitive pool. |
| 65s | And last but not least... |
| 66s | we will officially start tracking your career history and results from here on out! |
| 71s | Our commitment has always been to invest in the long term health of the game AND the sport. |
| 76s | When it comes to the sport |
| 78s | I’ll let Leo, our head of VALORANT Esports, |
| 80s | go over the high level roadmap for how Premier will connect with the VCT. |

| 90s | now that we’re finally connecting Premier with the VCT. |
| 93s | But what will this new path to pro bring? |
| 96s | You’ll see the first changes in early 2024, |
| 99s | when all players competing in Open Qualifiers for VALORANT Challengers |
| 102s | will need to have played in Contender in Premier |
| 105s | replacing the old requirement of being ranked Immortal and above. |
| 109s | In Q2 of 2024, |
| 111s | The top Contender-level teams will compete against Challengers teams in a promo/relegation event, |
| 117s | fighting for a spot in the League. |
| 119s | This means that for the first time, Premier will feed straight into Challengers. |
| 124s | And by the end of 2024, |
| 126s | All new teams entering Challengers will have to climb through Premier in order to be promoted upwards. |
| 131s | Here are a few more details about the future you should be aware of: |
| 135s | Challengers and Premier will be moving to a year-round ecosystem starting in Q4 of 2024. |
| 141s | That means no more long breaks between seasons. |
| 144s | Second, with the new integration into Challengers, |
| 146s | teams will have more opportunities to advance upwards into their regional leagues than ever before! |
| 152s | At the end of every CL stage, we’ll have a promotion event to bring up the best teams from Premier. |
| 158s | Third, to ensure competitive integrity, |
| 160s | Pro players who are on an active Challengers or International League roster will not be able to join a Premier team. |
