1s The most rewarding thing about playing this character is that
4s It's an authentic Scottish person, and that is just absolutely brilliant
9s And yeah, it's an honor.
11s I'm Isla Campbell and I'm the voice of Agent 25, Clove.
15s "Alright muckers, off we go."
18s Being an actor helps me express myself.
20s Obviously, at the end of the day
21s it is playing pretend, but it is still being able to experience
25s Other things and adding a bit of drama, you know
28s a bit of chaos to your day-to-day.
30s I was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, I've lived here all my life
33s specifically on a tiny little town on the coast called Portobello.
36s Being part of the Edinburgh theater scene has just shaped me as a person.
39s I started doing theater when I was 9 years old at Portobello Youth Theater,
43s and I've just worked my way up from there to different youth theaters.
48s I didn't realise it was such a privilege until I became an adult
52s because it just was normal for me to go, like, see a show after school
56s but now I'm like "That's not normal for most people."
64s Being able to bring specific Scottish quirks to this character
67s has been so much fun.
69s Adding these like extra layers of like
71s genuine Scottish language that aren't like the standard
75s stereotypical Braveheart stuff, it's more like stuff that I'd say to my friends
79s the way I talk to my family and my loved ones
82s Cy! You wee punk, how'd you pull that off?
84s Keep it up!
85s "Thought you got rid of me?"
87s The team have been great in allowing my natural colloquialisms
92s to be in the script.
93s "Have a kip!"
94s Instead of saying "don't" I'll say "dinnae"
96s and instead of saying "know" I'll say "ken."
100s It's such a disadvantage that everyone is born and is only allowed
103s to play one part their entire life
108s "I'll sleep when I'm dead, which I guess is never."
113s I've been able to express myself through the character
116s by being able to add my own voice to the role, like having
120s a character in a video game that says "ken" is mental
124s it's brilliant, I love it.
126s It's been so challenging and so wild
129s to experience but in every good way possible,
131s and I'm so grateful and so lucky
134s for the opportunities I've been given.
135s "Chin up cuties, it's not over yet!"
