I honestly have no idea what to do here. Kwake#1776 on tracker.gg. Literally dropping 30+ kill games and still losing. Placed bronze three now in iron.

I'm not the best, not the worst. But there are HUGE skill disparities among players in these ranks. I play against people who most definitely do not belong in bronze every single game. I almost definitely do not belong there, but despite that, I keep losing. Every time i win I get a measly +20, for a loss to be anywhere from 20-30, even if im top frag by a mile.

Is solo queueing and ranking up even possible? It doesn't feel like it at all.

I stopped playing after beta, played an mmo for about a year and just recently came back. So initially, i felt being placed in bronze was about right. Pretty poor aim and overall decision making blah blah. Now, im getting back into the swing of playing a shooter, and i've been improving. I dont drop 30k games every time, but im usually somewhere in the neighborhood of at least being 1.0kd, and sometimes I have those games where i just pop off. But i've never in my life played a game where as I'm improving, my rank is consistently going down.

To start, I really like to avoid doing breakdowns of players match history if I can avoid it. There is a lot more intricate math going on, in the background, to determine your MMR/Rank/RR Gains. But I think this one is pretty easy to understand so I definitely wanted to put in my 2 cents.

If you look at your match history yes you have two games where you broke 30 kills. But you also have way more games where you only got around 10 kills. You also only have 0.9 kills a round. That means you are dying more then you are getting a kill in a round. You also have a win rate that is below 40%. Unfortunately that means you aren't performing at your Rank, and in fact are losing more then you are winning. In any ranked system that means you are probably ranked too high and you are on your way down.

Now that sucks, but you also haven't played A TON of games(but you've played a decent amount). It could just be a bad streak of games and if you had more time maybe you would start to win more then losing and be able to climb.

Unfortunately you will be pushed where you belong, and until you start to win more then you lose you will struggle to climb. Also know that at your Rank performance is a huge factor in ranked. Your performance can help you climb if you are consistently performing above your enemies, or teammates. One 30 kill game does not mean consistent, just because you did well in one game does not mean you belong higher rank and have been consistently out-performing those at your rank.

I'm sorry you've been frustrated and had a hard time climbing. But if I can offer and solace it's that one thing I've seen, in data, for many games I've worked on is "More time = more skill". So if you keep playing, you will most likely rank up. You would need to be playing more then other players at your rank and getting better then them, but being in Iron I think you have a pretty good chance to do so. I would also recommend trying to use the Phantom over the Vandal. Your headshot rates seem pretty low, and the phantom is much better if you have a high chest shot %.

Good luck out there, and I hope you see improvements and things turn around for you!

A. That still isn't how it thinks you should perform, performance only has an impact of 0-5 on your RR gain/loss from that game

B. The performance bonus is only for exceptional cases and 30 kills is not one of them.

Players will get 0-5 RR on average for a performance bonus, with 3-5 being average, and yes it's based on their average performance.

So if a player normally performs middle of the pack, with average ability usage and kills - if that player has a 30 kill game where they used their abilities effectively they would get a performance bonus. performance bonus can go above 5 tho, but it's very difficult too get it that high.
