Hey, wanted to share this because it's confusing me a lot.
I'm not a pro player in these types of games by any stretch of the imagination, but in Valorant it has always felt to me like I needed to aim slightly higher than head level, it felt weird but I just figured that I suck and need to fix my crosshair placement. I am not referring to the already known issues with hitreg, but rather getting frustrated with neck shots.
I'm on a 1440p display, my crosshair is exactly 3 pixels thick (5 including outlines) and I went to the practice range to tap the target disk. Centered my crosshair as best I could and found this:
Ghost (Very slow taps, 100% recoil reset between each shot) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/588249781248327680/715107191459282944/unknown.png
Shots going below the line on average: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/588249781248327680/715107428395384862/unknown.png
Vandal (same as above) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/588249781248327680/715107936749355065/unknown.png
It also feels like the actual bullet holes on the target to the right look different to the hitreg representation on the left.
Just to make it clear, this isn't a "game is broken so I can't hit headshots" type of post. Been doing fine, got up to Plat 3 before I decided to take a break from comp until launch. I've subconsciously adapted to it and simply aim a bit higher than I'm used to and it works fine, but I wanted to share this here to see if anyone else has felt the same, if this is an intentional mechanic that I just don't know about or if I'm just going crazy.
EDIT: Some of you have pointed out 2 things, that my crosshair is an even number in terms of thickness, and that first shot accuracy causes these problems.

This is me slowly tapping the Guardian with a Crosshair that is 2px thick at 1440p resolution. Same issue, the shots are landing in the same spot right now (except some where I messed up slightly) but every single one of those shots is below where the crosshair is pointing.
EDIT2: This is me shooting the bot. I only fired a single shot with the Guardian while standing still, so I had perfect first shot accuracy. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/588249781248327680/715298409015279757/unknown.png Look at the Bullet hole and the crosshair. This registered as a Headshot. Even though the bullet hole is very clearly above the target?
