Hey guys,

I was doing FPS benchmark to test the new NVIDIA Driver version and found something really interesting. I noticed each agent with an ability which works on the ground, reduces your Average FPS by almost 80-100.

VIDEO - This video here shows how the FPS is affected while the ability is being used.

Almost every agent's ground ability decreases Average FPS by 100. In the video, you can see how the FPS goes back to 340-350 once the ability is finished.

I tested this on every ability and out of all, only the ground related abilities were reducing the overall FPS in the game. I am sure there might be good ways to properly benchmark this or the results will be different on various specifications however this really needs optimization in my opinion.

Thanks for a detailed /u/ImThour! This is exactly the kind of report we can review/fix/speak to effectively. This is a known issue that we've been working on for a little while now. We have a fix we're just about ready to begin testing internally. However, it may be several patches before we're able to get this live based on testing and managing it against some of the other performance work we have in flight. We think our fix should help a lot but may not completely resolve the issue. There are a couple different technical factors contributing.
