[2021] Magepunk Guardian sounds different in-game?

Bought the skin and upgraded the VFX and jumped into the range to test it out only to notice the zapping effect is barely there. When you preview it in your collection or store it's very clear and balanced, but when you jump into game it's like it got turned down by 90% and you can barely hear it.
