Hey EU players, I sometimes see you guys in the NA servers. Why do you do this? I don’t see any logic. If you want to Smurf, why not do it on your own servers? I played on EU servers one time and I was lagging so bad. How is that fun?
Also I don’t really have a problem with you guys being on our servers. I am just curious as to what the logic is.

What country are you in? What’s your ping to Bahrain like?
The only server with worse ping than Bahrain is Tokyo lol, that ping is worse than Istanbul’s by 20, who’s got the third worse ping on my list, despite me being way closer geographically to both Istanbul and Bahrain than frankfurt, like quadruple the distance geographically

I’m on the network engineering team at Riot, so not really random. We are working on some improvements in the Middle East region that will probably still take a few months to be finished. If it’s geographically closer for you then hopefully you will see some improvements.
It’s Lebanon, like tiny dot south of syria which is south of turkey, London Madrid Paris and Frankfurt all have lower ping than Istanbul or Bahrain, though only Frankfurt stays stable all the game long, the rest have crazy ping spikes scattered throughout
Got it. It’s on our list. We have also taken into account we need to improve performance to Middle East for your area without making Europe perform worse which will require some design changes.
