External link →Yea I really don't understand the unification of UI unless they plan on implementing cross-platform.
Developing and improving on UI features is costly (in terms of time) when those changes need to be made, then tested, on two entirely different interfaces. We can save a bunch of time, and therefor either turnaround changes faster, or add new features quicker, by using one interface across all platforms.
