Posted this over at r/steam because I don't think is is game related, but was removed for one reason or another. Either way, maybe someone can help out. I built my little sister a PC last year so we could game together. V2 being one of the primary games we play together. About a month ago, the game completely stopped launching on her rig. No error/bug messages. The game does not even appear in the task manager. We've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Verifying files. Installing the game on a different drive. Nothing is working.
When clicking the green play button it turns blue for about a second before reverting back to green. No windows pop up, nothing indicates that the game is launching whatsoever.
I've tried launching the exe as admin and was able to get the game to start, only to be told that its not connected to steam and will shutdown.
Has anyone had this issue? Oddly enough, this exact thing is also happening with Stardew Valley for her.
I'd really like to fix this for her. Any advice is appreciated.
