[2020] Having trouble with cosmetics (xbox one)

Recently found myself with a lot of free time and decided to fill it with Verminitide. I'm having an absolute blast playing through the game. I think I haven't been this excited to play a co op game since Halo 3. Because I saw myself playing this game for a long time, I used the 750 free shillings I got at the start of the game to get a new skin and matching headgear for my favorite fire female, however, the purchases crashed my game, and on top of that they don't show up in my inventory. After looking online, I decided to restart my xbox, but that didn't help. When I tried to repurchase the cosmetics, the game said that I already owned them. Has anyone else had this issue? What could I do?
