I get the two boxes that say Open 1 and the other one says Open 5 but I can't open them. I used the space bar before but that didn't work. Used the mouse pointer, didn't work either.

This might be it: you might have hit the inventory cap. Could you try smelting down some items and let us know if that fixes it?
