MAJOR UPDATE: ranalds.gift BETA

The time has finally come for Ranald to bestow a miracle instead of flipping you off at the end of every mission. ranalds.gift, new domain, new features. I've been working hard on this project lately - since before Chaos Wastes - to put out an update that lays the foundation for what I hope will eventually become the ultimate resource for Vermintide 2 builds in addition to gameplay and mechanics information.

The reason I've designated this release as a "BETA" release is because problems may arise after launch due to bugs or for any other reason, and the website may go down for a period of time as a result. With that in mind, the plan is to keep the original website in tact during this beta period before forwarding the RanaldsGift.com to ranalds.gift. The new website has full support for the old URLs, and the old website has been updated to allow you to easily copy any of your builds from the old URLs to the new website's database.

The main thing I will be keeping an eye on is the database usage. For this release I've set some fairly small page limits for whenever we pull data, to help reduce the possibility of having extremely high database usage. I will be monitoring this and will adjust as necessary once we come out of "BETA". Thanks for understanding!

WHAT'S NEW?

  • Accounts

Users can create accounts to enable additional features such as Saved Builds, Build Ratings and more to come.

  • Saved Builds

If you have a user account you can save a build to the database. For now, you must select all 6 talents and give the build a name in order to save it.

  • Build Ratings

If you like a build, you can give it a "Rating" by clicking on the Rating Icon. These ratings are basically votes in favor of the build, and will allow users to find popular builds more easily.

  • Build Lists

There's a new Builds List page that by default shows the 5 most recently updated builds. Users can currently filter the results by Hero, User, and other build tags for Role, Difficulty, Potion, etc.

  • User Pages

If you want more information about a user, you can visit their page. You can see the user's Steam Friend Code, Discord, Twitch and Youtube depending on which information they have saved. None of the information is required, users are free to choose what they want to share. You will also see a list of the user's saved builds, which can be filtered in the same way as normal build lists.

  • UI/UX Revamp

The user experience should be massively improved overall. Things should feel more responsive, and we have some additional features on the Heroes page like the Show Descriptions feature for the Talents and the displaying of +Health and +Cooldown Reduction properties in the respective stat bars in the Hero summary.

WHAT'S TO COME?

The pipe dreams are serious. The best way to find out about future development is to check the About page.

What a beautiful thing you've made here!

Our Support team really leans on this site to sanity check things, a really helpful clutch having so much information in a lightweight and wickedly easy to use interface.
