[2019] Wanted to buy new DLC and play the game again, but...

Are you on the latest Nvidia drivers? For some they have made performance worse, at least anecdotally but perhaps trying the previous revision as a test could be useful for you (and the result useful to us as well so let us know if you try [assuming blindly that you use Nvidia of course!])
