Guidelines for getting involved in the forums and maintaining good relations with other players, mods and the developers alike!
The forums here are specifically to discuss the game and related topics. Any topics not related to Vermintide 2 are subject to deletion.

We want these boards to be a place where both veteran players and newcomers (and everyone in between) can come and discuss Vermintide 2. You might not always agree with what's said - we might not always think the same things - and that can make for great discussions!

Steam have their own Rules here:

That said, We have our own guidelines here, so consider both when posting. Here's some pointers on getting on with other users of the boards, the moderators, and developers alike.

What to include in your contributions to the forums:
  • Your posts should focus on topics specific to the forum and the thread.
  • Post to these forums only in a manner that respects the time and energy others.
  • Ask questions and test the knowledge of your fellow heroes.
  • Tell us your great ideas for new features.
  • Give us honest feedback about the things at which we are succeeding, and constructive criticism about those which can be improved.
  • You're welcome to 'have fun' and even memes are fine.
What to avoid:
  • Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks.
  • Insults of other groups or individuals.
  • Harassment of any form. Stalking, shaming, name-calling, bullying etc.
  • Flame-baiting (feel free to disagree with someone, but acknowledge that views are often personal and what you like or dislike may differ from others)
  • Trolling. Sure, this is a broad term, and there's wiggle room, but if the action you're about to take on the board is neither adding to a discussion, supporting or constructively criticising or otherwise going 'against' the grain without good cause you could consider holding back from submitting.
  • Using a secondary account to bypass a community hub suspension/ban.
  • Posting personal information including phone numbers, e-mail addressed, or physical addresses.
  • Commercial content such as advertising, promotions, or solicitations.
  • Content offering or disseminating fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions (e.g., make-money-fast schemes, chain letters, pyramid schemes).
  • Content that impersonates any other person or entity.
  • Posts or threads on the subject of sexual orientation, race, religion or politics.

Don't post in all capital letters, use a misleading title, excessive punctuation, non-standard symbols, etc. While everyone wants their posts read, we ask you to refrain from using these types of tactics in order to bring more people to your thread. Let your post stand on its own merit. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.

Naming and shaming constitutes harassment Accusing named or otherwise identified individuals, etc. of dishonourable behaviour, will lead to post/thread deletion and a suspension. While such warnings may sometimes be warranted, allowing targeting of others in such a fashion is open to abuse and thus not allowed. You may present your point of view while preserving the anonymity of those involved, and let the reader decide whether to contact you for details.

Do not post leaks, real or speculated, confirmed or not From time to time, the developers will open up closed testing for future content releases. Such tests typically fall under an NDA. Posting content pertaining to products under test, or what you believe to be leaked upcoming undisclosed content from an unverified third party source is forbidden, and can result in the thread being deleted and your posting privileges potentially removed.

Do not bump / necro posts The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called 'necro bumping' or 'necroing'). If you have an issue that's new to you and no current thread exists on the subject, feel free to create a new thread.

Do not post about locked or deleted threads Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. It's up to you to read the forum code of conduct and these guidelines to determine what you did wrong, learn from your mistake, and attempt to post again without breaking any rules.

Do not call for Devs in your title Let your thread stand on it's own merit and if a developer or CM has something to share, update or inform about - they will. Threads calling on devs, or calling out devs may be locked.

Multiple threads on the same topic may be deleted When multiple threads cover the same topic we will typically leave one of them open, lock one with an explanation, and delete the rest. This is done to allow other topics to still have a place on the forums. Which thread is left open typically depends on the thread length and how constructive the first post and the thread in general are.

The guidelines above are not exhaustive and moderators and admins alike have freedom to apply measures as they see fit to ensure the board remains a sanitary place for those here to discuss Vermintide 2.

If your post or thread disappears, consider this to be a minor violation of the rules. Check back here and consider why this happened and try posting again.

Additional penalties include temporary forum vacations all the way up to and including removal from the game hub, removal of posting rights and removal of all content created within it for either repeat violations or extreme situations.
