[2022] Should I do Vermintide 1 ?

Hey guys we are currently doing Vermintide 2 together with a friend and I was wondering if I should do Vermintide 1 while he is not there ?

Actually we started vermintide 1 together but for specific reasons he did the game alone and rushed through it in 12 hours roughly

So I was wondering if I should resume where we were (2nd or third mission I believe) and do the game too ?

I'm especially thinking about doing that because I bought the DLCs for Vermintide 2 and in one of them you come back to where you were in the 1 ... So I guess it would be better to do it to recognize where I'm going ?
