[2023] Why is PT-76 at 5.3 BR?

Depends on the performance of the vehicle. But it has HEAT-FS which can penetrate almost everything at that BR, including WW2 tanks. It also has a stabilzer, which is uncommon to have on a tank around this BR bracket.
