Hello everyone! Today, we’d like to update you on the planned Battle Rating changes. Thank you for all your feedback and suggestions, we appreciate all of your ideas! We’ve updated the tables with some of your suggestions as well as postponements to some changes based on your feedback. Also included are some changes to helicopter and Simulator Battle Ratings for aircraft.
Below we also have some further detail on some of the key points raised throughout. Please be sure to check out the updated tables to see all of the changes.
This text reflects the most popular points of feedback. Many additional changes have been made based on player feedback which can be seen in the table below.

Responding to some of your feedback on the proposed changes
Aircraft
F-14A IRIAF:
While this aircraft does have different weaponry from the standard A variant, it currently doesn’t require a huge increase all at once. First we want to see how it performs at its new Battle Rating and then decide whether it needs to be increased further.
A-5C:
Despite being an attack aircraft the A-5C still possesses powerful air-to-air missiles on top of its ground ordinance, it’ll be raised to 10.7 for now.
F8F-1:
Across the board, the F8F-1 is the lowest performing 5.0 aircraft by a firm margin. Its speed and climb are undeniably effective when looked at on paper but the combination of how much energy it loses in maneuvers on top of its low burst mass leaves it a difficult position. We’ll keep a close eye on its performance in any case and make any adjustments where required, but for now it needs to be reduced in BR.
Ground Forces
Fox APDS revision:
This change involves recalculating the parameters of the APDS rounds fired by the 30 mm L21A1 cannon (and all vehicles using the 30x170 APDS-T shell as well) and consisted of the reduction of its armor penetration against both angled and flat armor. We’ve decided to postpone this alteration and not release it together with the planned Battle Rating changes. We’ll be implementing it later on as this will also affect some other small caliber APDS ammunition.
Additionally, we won’t be increasing the Battle Rating of the Fox, although it does have efficiency high enough to justify an increase. We won’t be moving it now as once the above change is implemented the efficiency of the Fox should stabilize enough to keep it at its current Battle Rating anyway.
Chieftain Mk 10 and VFM5:
We’ll postpone these changes for now and return to review them again when we review Battle Ratings at 9.7 and below.
TAM and TAM 2 IP:
Both of these tanks are included in the updated table and will receive a Battle Rating increase.
Merkava series (an update from us, not necessarily based on feedback):
The only functional difference between the two Merkava Mk.4 models at 11.3 and the Merkava Mk.4M at 11.7 is the absence of APS, regarding efficiency the two at 11.3 now outperform the variant at 11.7. Reasonably, these tanks should have the same Battle Rating, as their relative performance is practically the same. The Merkava Mk.4 models reload time has also been reduced to 5 seconds.
Leopard 2A5:
This tank is better than many “top” tanks across the board so will remain at 12.0 after these planned changes.

Aircraft
J-7E and F8U-2:
We agree with these two, their performance has been steadily raising and we’ll be increasing their Battle Rating.
A-10C:
After its performance has normalized since the major update we can see the need to increase it, it’ll be moved up in Battle Rating as well.
Ground Forces
Pantsir-S and ItO 90M (all variants):
We agree with your feedback and will raise the Battle Ratings to 12.0.
Falcon:
With the revision to small caliber APDS performance mentioned above, the penetration power of the Falcon will be notably reduced. After this change, we’ll collect updated data on its efficiency and take another look at its Battle Rating then. Regarding its current performance though, it doesn’t require a reduction in Battle Rating at this time.
