We asked our alpha / tech team to keep an eye on potential issues, and we're not going to activate EAC on 1.91 release to make sure everything is in order and legit players are not affected.

It's anecdotal, but i played all night with RTSS on high detection with monitoring + overlay for temperature / frequency + fps limiter, msi afterburner with a frequency/voltage curve and a fan curve, nvidia overlay, steam overlay, epic thunder sound mod (not sure if it was working with the new sound engine, i installed it due to player's concern) and a bunch of other things (ryzen master with

Not personally, but devs said they should not be affected. We're also at the start of the "wider" general 1.91 testing session and we got the EN tech team sorting / testing bugs, we'll spend some time testing those.

1/ It's unclear at the moment. Not utilized for sure.

Need confirmation, but i'm pretty sure the answer is yes. It's part of the game intended functionality. (tech mods use it all the time, i often have it running too)

And this is why we will not release EAC after the update 1.91, our team want to make sure everything is running fine. We don't want to get fair players blocked / banned.

And that's a common thing for anti-cheat systems. The more information is shared, the easier it is to bypass them, this is why little is said.

We'll have a look. It's supposed to have a prompt before installation (this was mentioned multiple time during internal communication with the devs, they were very clear about that). I already had EAC installed on my home computer from other games, so replicating this potential issue right now would be a pain.

I'm 99.99% sure this is ok.

Side note: Our social media manager used it all week-end on the dev server to make new posts, so... that would be embarrassing to have him banned

Yep!

Players with EAC already installed (from other games) had no pop-up, or sometime an update/repair one.

Guys, we have specific rules against politics on the forum. This is not to hide some grand conspiracy, we're not trying to censor people - political discussions almost always turn into a flamewar and our mods already got enough on their plate as it is.

If you want to discuss politics, internet is here. But don't do that on the WT forum.

Our Privacy Policy was last edited 28 December 2018, 10:14:46 (i checked our update log history). With the introduction of EAC in Cuisine Royal and Crossout, the War Thunder privacy policy was also updated in preparation. So the EAC part is there for the last 8 month.

Guys, this conversation is going nowhere. Yes, some players are happy to have potential cheaters kicked, and some players are concerned about their privacy.

Either you move on, or we'll clean / lock. We let that thread running a bit wilder than usual, don't push your luck.

We had internal test with alpha / dev, but those tests can only do so much. You can't beat users when it come to find errors or breaking things.

Some have a 5 year old windows installation with a lot of conflicting software, disabled windows features that are not really meant to be disabled, have unstable memory, changed cpu / gpu brand without reinstalling, have torrent / crypto miners (without always knowing it's installed), virus, cracked games, forced unsigned / modified driver or bios or firmware, you name it.

But EAC is not new, and it's already running on other projects

We have a semi automated crash report system for people who don't use the forum (if you game crash, it ask you if you want to send the report). I can't go into details for EAC (because i don't have the fine details :D) but i'm assuming it's reporting errors or blocks.

But while few do that, the best is to directly report those things on the forum. Eg:

So far one user with issues gave me the file requested, and it was passed directly to the devs.

It depend of the upgrade and a bit of your luck. If the architecture change radically (eg from the old athlon t
