In January, 80 years ago, the Sea Hurricane Mk. IB took to the skies. The aircraft was the first carrier-capable Hurricane allowing for both take-off and recovery by carriers unlike previous versions. In January 1936, 87 years ago, the Heinkel He 51 C-1 made its first flight. The C-1 switched from fighter to ground attacker, armed with 4 x 50 kg bombs.
