[2023] Cheating issues, will it get better?

1) We do not have massive number of players using 3rd party app. More than 250 bans is a lot.

2) No. We have our methods of detecting users who break rules. Players reports are helping, but are not our main method.

3) EAC and our other methods are doing good job, yet we do not exclude that if we will find something better in future, we will use it.

4) Server replay is your weapon of choice. You can watch any replay from any battle from any player perspective. You will see exactly what happened on server.

5) It's not like that. Your numbers are greatly exaggerated. In wast majority of case, accusing other players are not supported by any evidence. Someone destroyed your tank just before you shot, he was somewhere where you think he should not be able to see you and bam - cheater! Please use server replays in such situations. You will see that in 99% of case he saw you earlier, was manage to notice your barrel smoke, hear you or simply someone marked you.

6) I agree that unfair advantage are not fair, that's why we ban players who use them.

7) Already answered in 5.

8) Well, it's never fun to know that there are players who outskill you by few levels. I am cheater because I can bomb your tank knocking bomb on commander's cupola? Now you are not fair calling me cheater.

9) Aircraft usually spray hundreds of them during gun fight. Usually 1 is enough to knockdown your pilot.

10) No, you would not play PvE. PvE is not giving such satisfaction as PvP

The problem of cheats exists but is usually greatly exaggerated. It is much easier to accuse an opponent of cheating than to admit to oneself that one has made a mistake or simply lacks skill. If you think that in every game you encounter someone who cheats, then in the case of War Thunder you are simply wrong to blame your failures on something made up. Start using server replays, after a few times you'll realise that in many cases someone had an advantage over you not because of cheats, but because of skill, luck or some other completely normal factor. And if you find someone who you think was actually cheating, please report them via this replay, our GMs will check the report and ban such a player.
