The general discussion section will comprise of general discussions relating to War Thunder, that is, discussions that would not fall under any of the other Sub-Forums. When posting in this section, here is a guide and a few helpful tips:

1.1 Forum Content Related Rules (Threads, Posting, etc. Do not do the following)
  • 1.1.1. Insult any forum members or forum staff.
  • 1.1.2. Start or participate in flame wars, intentionally derail a topic, copy/paste the same message in multiple locations, or post useless spam messages in moderated areas.
  • 1.1.3. Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, phone number, etc.) in the forum's public spaces without permission.
  • 1.1.4. Impersonate any War Thunder user/Gaijin staff in any way. This includes usernames, signatures, post content, titles, status updates, or any other material considered to be fraudulent by Gaijin Community Staff. This rule applies to both the forums and in-game.
  • 1.1.5. Deliberately challenge moderation or administration, if you have issues or concerns with any actions taken please send a Private Message to Moderators, Senior Moderators, Lead Moderators or Community Managers/Administrators.
  • 1.1.6. Publicly post Private Message content or individual official communications from Gaijin staff without the expressed permission of the sender.
  • 1.1.7. Post any screenshots, artwork, videos, guides, or any other content to any part of the Steam Hub that may violate any other rule. This includes the usage of Nazi Symbolism.
  • 1.1.8. Encourage other users to stop playing the game, or encourage users to avoid purchasing any content from the store, in order to prove a point.
  • 1.1.9. Encourage or Post links, workarounds, or any other method in avoiding local taxation laws or pricing policies therein.
  • 1.1.10. Use or post topic/thread titles or content which is fully capitalised, contains unclear abbreviations, contains or suggests profanity, or does not properly indicate the content of the post.
  • 1.1.11. Without reasonable cause (judged at the discretion of the moderation team), post in threads which are severely out of date, old, or have not had any new comments in several weeks or more. You should check to see if there are any current or recent threads about the topic you seek to discuss, or post a new one if any old topic might be out of date.
  • 1.1.12. Participate in, post about participation in, or encourage any user to participate in any action that may be in violation of the War Thunder Terms of Use[warthunder.com] or End User License Agreement.[warthunder.com]

Strictly off Limit Topics and Discussions, including posting links:
  • 1.1.13. Porn and other socially unsuitable and objectionable content.
  • 1.1.14. Piracy and wilful copyright infringements.
  • 1.1.15. Discuss usage of cheats, hacks, illegal golden eagle farming or any related topic.
  • 1.1.16. Links to illegal software, warez, cheating or hacking orientated sites.
  • 1.1.17. Any advertising messages excepting War Thunder orientated media channels produced by the players.
  • 1.1.18. Any form of serious threat or harassment.
  • 1.1.19. Racism and any form of discrimination.
  • 1.1.20. A) In accordance with the laws of Countries hosting Gaijin servers or offices, discussion of any logos, symbols, emblems, organisations or figures connected in any way with any groups that have been convicted of existing International laws and/or rules (including variations of Nazi symbolism, abbreviations and signs (88, SS and 1488), as well as credentials, names and surnames of Nazi leaders/War Criminals). B) Also those which may promote national/ethnic/religious hatred.
  • 1.1.21. Profanity and insult via direct statement or implication (full or partial circumvention). This includes the use of swearing, medical-related reference (such as cancer, mental illness, etc.), offensive and abusive language, and other references of an insulting or profane nature. Automatically filtered items are exempt from action.
  • 1.1.22. Promotion of criminal activities, including drugs and the abusive use of alcohol.
  • 1.1.23. Any form of political or religious discussion capable of causing offense or dissent.
  • 1.1.24. Screamers or any material intended to shock or frighten members of the community, including Photosensitivity imagery that may cause epileptic and or other Photosensitivity related seizures.
  • 1.1.25. Naming and shaming, including the posting of usernames from in game or from social media, with the purpose of scrutinising or making fun of them. If you have a problem with someone, be it in game or on the forums, contact a member of the moderation staff.
  • 1.1.26. Any post which is defamatory or libellous of another forum user, staff member, or Gaijin.
  • 1.1.27. Any post judged to be "insulting and/or inflammatory by deed or intention" by the Gaijin Staff and administrators.

  • 1.2.28. You have the right to appeal after punitive measures. Appeals can be made to a Senior Forum Moderator or Admin via the PM system, who may include other Senior Moderators or Admins to assess the situation.

  • 1.2.29 Do not misuse the report function. This includes sending repeated false reports, using condescending or offensive language in your reports, or spamming reports, etc.
