Tankers, in this Dev test, we’ve clarified the formula for calculating the suspension of all tracked and wheeled chassis. In gameplay, this change will be noticeable primarily in the sideways traction of vehicles on sloped surfaces. A heavy vehicle will more likely start sliding down a steep slope when placed sideways.

First of all, we’ve made this behavior more realistic based on your feedback. This behavior will also help in dealing with situations where players may have driven over boundaries of maps or in positions that were clearly not meant to be reached by design.

Try it out and tell us your impressions. Found problematic areas of maps which were negatively affected by this new behavior? We would be grateful for screenshots of such places in the game.

We understand that this change can have an ambiguous effect on gameplay, so we will rely on your feedback in our decision to implement this fix into the game.

In the “Events and Tournaments” tab we launched “Testing the tank tracks” (AB/RB), where you can get a better feel of this mechanic in suitable locations. You’ll get an invitation to participate in a survey!

Latest fixes:

Changes in the suspension and traction to make behaviour of the vehicles more realistic in cornering and when driving on slopes. There may be a slight deterioration in stability when driving sideways on a slope.

Suspension work that affected cornering at speed and static when sideways on slopes has been fixed.

The static adhesion of tracks to surfaces has been reworked.

Thank you for your feedback on the suspension and grip testing!

The system requires improvement and will not be implemented in the upcoming update.
