Hi, as mentioned already, it's the purchase. The vehicle must be purchased for it to be counted as a "top" vehicle.

This has nothing to do with stupidity, after all neither you or I, nor the ones over at Gaijin who write these announcements are native English speakers, and that's obvious.

Sorry to hear that, perhaps we should have put more emphasis on the fact that a "top" vehicle must be purchased.

Thanks for the response.

Could you maybe elaborate on this?
Point 2. and 3.? Is my assumption correct or wrong?

If i understand the statement what a "top vehicle" is correctly:

2. A vehicle that is last in its line in the research tree. If the last in the line is in a group, then the first vehicle in the group is considered the β€œtop” one.
3. A vehicle where the maximum Battle Rating of the vehicle among all modes is no more than 2 steps lower than the maximum Battle Rating of the vehicle in this research tree (in the tree type in a nation).

^ then by this, i assume (if we take my example again) the Namer 30 at 10.3 would actually be TWO STEPS (2.0 BR) below the Merkava 4M (11.7) - so it would count as a "top vehicle" and remove the research bonus of it, even tho the Namer is a Rank 7 vehicle. (i have a hard time understanding point 3 honestly, i assume this is what that means?)

If this is true, then the system is really stupid imo. Just make top vehicle rank 8 and be done with it.. why the small, very hard to understand and confusing specifications?

Hi! Sorry for not answering these before, I missed them.

2. Yes you understood this correctly
3. Not quite. Here's a clear example: Let's say the max BR of a tree is 13.0, then two steps below would be 12.3 to count as a "top" vehicle (because 13.0 to 12.7 is one step, and 12.7 to 12.3 is the second step, making two steps in total).

Sorry if these were not clear in the original post. Next time we'll be sure to provide an example and be more clear.

Hope this clears things up, any further questions let me know.
