87 years ago, the Do 17 took flight for the first time. The plane saw use in all major theaters in the early years of WWII under the roles of reconnaissance, night fighter, and bomber. The Hawker Nimrod made its first flight 90 years ago. Powered by the new Rolls-Royce Kestrel engine, the Nimrod featured speeds of up to 315 km/h (196 mph).
