A lil somethin somethin: You can find the details for this event on the announcement page here.

Today, we’ll be going over the bug fixes and improvements that we’ve made to the game over the past 2 weeks. Let’s take a look!

If you’ve found a bug that you’d like to report, you can do so on our community bug reporting platform[community.gaijin.net].

Helicopter Avionics
In the Dance of Dragons major update, detailed helicopter model modules have now been added, which we spoke about in our recent Roadmap dev blog here. So far, only the AH-64 and Ka-52 helicopters have received detailed internal modules. For all other helicopters, we’ve included on-board systems into the fuselage damage model — when receiving damage, there’s a chance that one or another module will still fail.

There were times where players who took damage in a helicopter tried to use a particular feature and couldn’t, simply because the damage had disabled the corresponding avionics module. Previously, players didn’t understand why they couldn’t use it, but now a notification will let you know exactly what happened to your helicopter and what functionality has become unavailable.

Interface Fixes
We’ve found several bugs that crept into the game interface. Here, we’ll list them one by one. One bug caused the modification window to open after a battle, even if no modifications were researched. Another caused the “Reset” button in the Sight settings window to not reset the settings. And in Air Realistic Battles, player titles were sometimes not displayed.

If the leader of a squad queuing for a battle had two or more server clusters selected, then only one cluster was displayed for squad members. The areas where active protection systems were shown in the damage indicator in-game were incorrectly displayed in the lower left corner (although the APS still worked correctly).

All of the bugs mentioned above have been fixed. Have a good game!

Garage for Sale!
Locations like Seversk-13 or Abandoned Town have quite a few fragile structures such as garages or kiosks. Penetrating them shouldn’t be a problem for solid or APHE shells, but for some reason it was! Even posts affected the flight of shells as well.

We’ve restored justice here, as these objects can now be destroyed and penetrated as they should be.

Keep Your Eyes Peeled War Thunder provides players with a vital opportunity to see the impact of shells fired by you and at you. However, we found that in some cases the hit was not shown.

For example, if you fired an APFSDS round that had a penetrator of 15 mm or less in diameter and it did not penetrate the enemy’s armor, the hit camera was not displayed. Additionally, when a player’s ammo rack, protected by blowout panels exploded in their vehicle, the vehicle destruction replay was not shown.

We fixed these bugs earlier this week.

Burn, Burn Brightly!
After the release of the Dance of Dragons update, some of you noticed something strange. Fire and smoke on the remains of destroyed tanks were no longer visible at distances over 2 km on any graphics settings.

You reported this to us and we’ve fixed it last week. Thanks for all of your reports on this!

That’s not all! You can find the full list of fixes and improvements in each separate update note. Here’s some more: a bug that caused the time fuze to not set a distance when measuring the distance from the sights has been fixed, sudden brightness changes in the hangar and Air Battles will no longer bother you, and a bug that caused the award icons to not show in the after battle stats window under the “Awards” tab has been fixed as well.

Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service[//], forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
