[2024] MOB The Lotus Eaters: Hotfix #7

We’ve deployed an iOS update that provides a number of UI improvements, particularly for touch control users! While we are calling this a hotfix, it is actually a small CERT update (learn more about what that means here). Depending on your Automatic App Update preferences, you may need to manually update the app.

iOS Fixes

• Fixed links in Chat (Look Link, Mod Link, Clan Link, Item Link) not redirecting players to the intended destination.
• Fixed an issue with the “Customize UI Layout” options where holding down the scale slider and any button simultaneously would cause the player to lose touch functionality.
• Fixed a second “Low Memory” warning popping up for players on older devices when attempting to load Duviri, Cambion Drift, and other Open Landscapes. 
  • These double messages contain the same information, and were redundant.
  • While this small fix does not improve performance in these areas, we continue work on making these areas accessible to players on older devices.

iOS Changes

• Increased the hit box size for touch based input of icons on the Star Chart.
• Moved the Aim & Shoot button from the left side of the screen to the right.
  • Note: This virtual button only appears when Auto-fire is disabled.
  • The intention is to make it easier to move and fire at the same time while aiming down sight when using touch controls.

• Made improvements to Grineer hacking puzzles. Players can now tap anywhere on screen to provide confirmation input. Also added a green glow and vibration feedback to any successful input.
• Moved the Chat and Sound icons from the right side of the screen to the left.

Every mobile update seems to break controller functionality.  This time it’s the down button on the d-pad… no more item wheel, no more decrees, no more convenient fast travel… Touch controls are serviceable but far from an optimal way to play, this really breaks the experience.

Hi Tenno, can you clarify which controller you are using? i.e. PlayStation 4 Controller, Backbone, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller? We are not hearing about controller issues or experiencing them on our end. Any additional information will be useful!
