Tenno!

We are now collecting covers of ‘We All Lift Together’ — new and old — for a special TennoCon 2023 project. 2023 marks 10 years of Warframe and 5 years since the release of ‘We All Lift Together.’ Since its release, the song has become something of a rallying cry for the Tenno community!

At TennoCon 2021 we shared a ‘Sleeping in the Cold Below’ covers medley featuring roughly 30 musicians and a dozen languages. We’d like to see what we can put together this year!

Fill out the form below to submit YOUR cover. This form has been translated into all of the languages we officially support – simply select the language you wish to continue in.

SUBMIT HERE: https://forms.gle/cCdQFq1dkutnQmXu5

Submission Guidelines:

  • One submission per person.
  • Submissions must be YOUR OWN.
  • Audio and video submissions are allowed.
  • Audio-only submissions should be in .wav format, ideally.
  • If you have already made a cover, you can absolutely use this form to submit it!
  • Any inappropriate submissions will not be accepted, and future submissions associated with the email address will not be considered.
  • Disclaimer: not all submissions may be used at the discretion of the Digital Extremes team. The team may also reach out to you via the email address associated with your submission if there is a file issue or something else is required.

We’ve made it easy for you to make your own cover by giving Tenno access to the instrumental track here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X6kDvZyNMwNI7kUuqe1JwQGmQJqeYY10/view?usp=sharing

Simply download the tracks from the Drive link to either sing along to, or incorporate them into your cover how you see fit.

In order to fit into a potential medley compilation, it is important that submissions follow these musical guidelines:

  • BPM: 134
  • Key: C-sharp minor
  • Time Signature: 4/4

This thread and the form will close July 15th @ 2PM ET.

Looking forward to hearing your versions of We All Lift Together, Tenno!

Can I apply if I made this with a team? Planning to make a Jazz cover and bringing in a drummer and sax person with me

Totally! It's not a competition or contest per se, the biggest requirements are that it's actually you (and others in this case) performing and not taking credit for someone else's great work. Cheers!

So the singer has to apply? Not the project lead?

Thanks for the clarifying question. :)

You can submit as long you and your group / bandmates are aligned on what's happening! There is no need for a specific member of the group (like a singer) to be the one to submit. Tenno are also welcome to submit covers that do not feature singing, like a saxophone cover or nylon string guitar cover for example!

Ultimately we just want to make sure people aren't submitting covers they had nothing to do with and taking credit for the work. Hope that answers everything!

Was it alright to just submit the vocals without the backing track?

Yes! That's perfectly fine :)

Is there a date for when the submissions are to be checked?

We will poke into the submissions list throughout June and July but won't consider anything "final" until the submission deadline date of July 15.

do you have audio of just the percussion parts I could use?

Sorry Tenno! We are not able to break it down to that level for this project.

Are there any limits on what languages we may translate to?

There are no language exclusions but please find a way to mention in your submission what language you are singing in! Either in the file name or elsewhere.

what if we do want to have their names listed?

In the submission form when you attach a link, you could attach a link to a google drive folder containing the audio file and also a text doc containing names you want to credit :)

Hellooo, I'm really excited about this :D. One question, I made a cover with vocals, guitars and hitting a bunch of things (like a hammer against steel, a wrench and a knife with a screwdriver). Under what should I submit it, vocals or instrumental?

Hey there! Either or is fine but perhaps instrumental is best. It's really meant to help differentiate if Tenno are singing along to the provided track or creating their own instrumental track, but it will all go to the same place for review!

Hello, dear Tenno! I have a few questions about this contest.
I'm doing a cover of "We all lift together". There will be an orchestra, a choir consisting of me, a bass-profundo soloist, a piano and a bunch of other stuff.
1) What should I specify: vocals or instrumental?
2) Do I need to upload each track individually or can I upload a mix/master already?
3) Can I upload a youtube video link (when I upload it)?

That rules!!
1. you can put it under "vocals" if there is singing and "instrumental" if there is not. But don't worry, it all ends up in the same place! It's just a category to help us distinguish on the spreadsheet what to expect.
2. a mix / master is ideal! But if you wanted to also attach individual tracks, we won't object. The more we have to work with the better!
3. Yes you can upload a video link (just no RickRolls ;P). Google Drive link is ideal though! Just be sure to edit the access so that it's visible to anyone with the link.

Aaaa I've been hoping for this for years!!! I'm so happy to submit my vocals and sing with everyone. Thank you so much!!!
I hope it's okay that I didn't do any whistling though. I'm a rare whistle-less Tenno 💖

That's okay, I can't whistle either!
