[2023] Warframe x SpecialEffect: Charity Stream Announcement! Feb 23 2023

Warframe is proudly participating in SpecialEffect’s GameBlast23 fundraising campaign! SpecialEffect is a UK based charity that helps thousands of people who want to play video games, but whose physical disabilities stop or limit their ability to play.

Join us on twitch.tv/warframe Thursday, February 23rd at 6 p.m. ET for a special Prime Time jam packed with giveaways featuring Danielle, Marcus, and SpecialEffect’s Gaming Community Manager Paige Harvey!

Tenno are invited to tune in, redeem the week’s Twitch drops, and consider donating what they can! You can donate to SpecialEffect through our JustGiving campaign at https://wrfr.me/gameblast23 

Digital Extremes is excited to announce that we will be matching the community’s donation total, up to $5,000.00 CAD. In other words, if the Tenno collectively raise $5,000 CAD, Digital Extremes will donate an additional $5,000 CAD on top of that, allowing us to raise $10,000 CAD in support of developing technology to assist physically disabled gamers!

If we achieve our fundraising milestones, we’ll unlock a built Forma and a 2 Day Double Affinity Booster for all Tenno in-game on March 4-5! We’ll also be cycling through Platinum and Prime Access raffles every $1000 Raised!

Our friends at SpecialEffect have shared a helpful breakdown of what our donations make possible for people with physical disabilities who want to enjoy gaming!
These amounts are in CAD: 

$8 can buy flexible fixings to enable the correct and firm hold of a controller, joystick or button for safe and comfortable use

$15 can purchase joystick extensions, to potentially enable greater control of a thumbstick, with its increased leverage

$40 will enable SpecialEffect to deliver an adapted gaming setup quick and directly to someone who needs it

$80 will buy a gamepad SpecialEffect can modify in the workshop with low force joysticks and buttons for a gamer with weak hand muscles to use 

$160 can enable SpecialEffect to buy a mounting system which will hold a joystick and position it for optimum use by a gamer to control it

$320 could buy a single handed controller to enable a disabled gamer to play comfortably with just one hand

Hi Tenno! While the 2X Affinity Booster ran this weekend, the 2X Forma Alert was missing due to a scheduling error. We'll make this right with a rescheduled 2X Forma Alert. Dates to be locked in and announced shortly. Thank you for your understanding!
