Hello folks,

I recently switched from Intel to AMD (9800X3D) and was wondering if GameBar is necessary for it to function properly or is it only mandatory for dual CCD chips? I read somewhere that it is required because AMD CPU´s are using it to make sure a game is being launched and the 3D cache can be utilized.

Couldn´t find any real answers to that question so far. I have EXPO and PBO enabled in the BIOS along with C-States to "on" because that could prevent stuttering (haven´t experienced it myself tho).

Game Bar is still required for 7900/7950X3D and 9900/9950X3D to properly detect games.

am I crazy or did the game bar remove the "remember this as a game" option? It also used to show when it recognized a game, but I don't see that anymore.

No, it’s still there. You have to click on the gear at the top and then check the box.

Yeah I definitely don’t have that.
