Poor performance, low fps and sudden freezes

Anyone knows the optimal settings that could help with performances as well as keeping the game as pretty as possible? I have a pretty good PC but i find myself having low fps in mid-high settings and I would like to know if it's an issue on my end or the game optimisation and if there's anything I could do about it I'd take recommendations.
